Custom Quilts and Memory Quilts

Some happy and sad news. I have accepted a full time position as a Preschool Teacher. It's happy because I love teaching,
but sad because I have to cut back on the number of quilts I can help make beautiful. I will still be doing longarm quilting,
but will be taking a break from making t-shirt quilts, memory quilts, and other custom projects.

My Quilting Beehive is available to make quilts of all sizes and patterns.  I can make traditional pieced quilts, memory quilts from clothing, or other projects that we can discuss.  Pricing on custom projects will vary depending on materials, size of the quilt, complexity of the pattern.  Please contact me to discuss your project. Plan ahead to get on my work log early, as I am booked several months out.

Memory Quilts (and other quilts made from clothing)
If you don't have enough clothing for a quilt, consider a memory bear.

This amazing quilt started as a beautiful Wedding Dress

Here is a Signature Quilt... Pat and Melissa had guests at their wedding write messages on fabric squares which we made into this quilt:

Remember Baby's first year by having all those little clothes made into a quilt:

This quilt was made from a collection of dog bandanas from many trips to the groomer!

This was made from primarily polo style shirts:

These next four memory quilts were made for siblings from their father's shirts:

These all came from one large box of clothes:

Quilts made from Neckties

This quilt was made from 15 Hockey Jerseys and quilted in a design with hockey gear:

This one was made from Swimming Award Ribbons!

And this was made from a collection of dance recital costumes

Here are some photos of custom quilts I have made in the past

This was made to be auctioned off at the Autism Up Gala Event in May of 2015

These two quilts were made as wedding gifts.  The mother of the grooms envisioned quilts that told the story of the couples through pictures.

Little Red Riding Hood and Hansel and Gretel were made for two sisters.  They are are based on illustrations in the story books and done with raw edge appliqué

A customer saw this pattern in a magazine and loved it.  The pattern is "Nana's Rose Garden" and it is made using fabric from the Joie de Vivre line by Robert Kaufman which is made in support of breast cancer research

This amazing appliqué quilt was hand pieced and basted 20 years ago... but never quilted. It has been carefully stored all these years in hopes that one day someone could finish it.  I was happy to finish the quilt so it can be used and loved for many years to come!

Prior to starting "My Quilting Beehive," I set up a website photo gallery of all my work-- you can see all of my past quilts at
